Description
The suburbs in the 1950s. A nice, quiet, simpler time in which to grow up - if you don't count the McCarthy trials, the fear of communism, the shadow of the atomic bomb and the Cold War. On a quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac, in the dark dank basement of the Chandler family home, darkness looms with frightening force for orphaned teen Meg and her crippled sister Susan, left to the savage whims and passions of a distant aunt who is slowly going mad. Madness infects all three of her sons, and eventually the entire neighborhood. Only one boy stands hesitantly between Meg and Susan and their cruel, painful deaths. A boy who must make a very mature decision: love and compassion or lust and evil?
