Description

Obsidian Publishing House presents Erica Jong's novel, which has become a worldwide sensation and a classic in American literature, „Fear of flying”. With this book, Zhong revolutionized the way we think about love, marriage and sex.

The story of the outspoken and sexually liberated Isadora Wing and her desire to fly free in the wide world caused a real sensation for its time. It fuelled fantasies, sparked numerous debates and even changed the language. Henry Miller compares her to his „Tropic of Cancer” and predicts that „thanks to this book women will find their own voice and write their new saga of sex, life, joy and adventure”.

„Fear of flying” scandalized and shocked polite society, but became a true cultural icon for generations of women. Endlessly witty, unashamedly honest and impressively intelligent, Erica Jong takes us on a journey as old as the world to ourselves and offers a timeless tale of the dream of freedom and the true feminine self.

„This book will go down in literary history.“
Henry Miller

„Fearless and fresh, gentle and precise, Erica Jong is a phenomenon in contemporary literature. „Fear of flying” has class and glamour, boldness and sharpness... it will definitely be a great success.“
John Updike
