Description
Famous crime novelist, Raphael Barthelemy raises his two-year-old son Theo alone. When Theo falls ill, he meets the young doctor Anna Becker in the hospital, and an intense love immediately flares between them. A few weeks before the wedding, the two go on a romantic weekend in Antibes. In the evening, haunted by vague misgivings about his past bitter experiences with women, Rafael begins to question Ana about her past. After a stormy argument, she shows him a photograph of three charred corpses with the words „I did this“. Words that seem to open the gates of hell and set off a convoluted investigation in which Rafael and his policeman friend Mark Karadek uncover one shocking secret after another.
An attention-grabbing psycho-thriller, with dizzying action, unexpected twists and an even more unexpected ending. The novel „The Girl from Brooklyn“ shows us again why Guillaume Mussot is the most popular French author in the world.
