Oman. An ancient land fragrant with incense, with weathered deserts, steep rocky mountains and turquoise seas. It is here that three remarkable women meet, each at a crossroads in their lives.

Rachel, an American war photographer, struggles with trauma in her personal life and career. But now she's heading to Oman to cover a very different story for a glossy travel magazine. Ariana Khan, a vivacious Englishwoman of Pakistani descent who lives in Dubai, hastily becomes Rachel's assistant on her trip - a job she's never done, and in a country she knows nothing about. Miza, a young woman living far from her native Zanzibar, is Tariq's second wife. She is forced to hide from his terrible „other“ wife, Maryam, as well as from her greedy uncle who holds her younger sister captive.

As the three women travel together through this extraordinary land, they quickly learn that in Oman, things are not always as they first appear.
