Description

Two dead wolves. A bloody gangster brawl. A ruthless assassin. For a few days, life in the otherwise peaceful Swedish town of Haparanda, far to the north, is turned upside down.
When human remains are discovered in the stomach of one of the wolves, policewoman Hannah Wester knows she's in for a summer like no other. It is not long before it becomes clear that the remains are linked to a botched drug deal on the border between Sweden and Finland that ended with a dead body. But how did the victims end up on the wooded outskirts of Haparanda? And where did the drugs and money go?
Hannah and her colleagues are desperate to unravel every clue, and time is pressing them, because others are looking for answers... The secretive and deadly Katya arrives in town from Russia, bringing with her only bad news. Haparanda is sinking into chaos, and in the meantime Hannah will have to face the traumas of her past as well.
